Bobby Fischer Passes

Post by lyle_from_minneapolis »

Okay, so Bobby Fischer didn't play a Rickenbacker. Still, mine was made the year he took the world championship.

He was wrong in the head. But he was also the most vicious and talented chess player the modern world had ever seen...and maybe he would have flattened the old masters as well.

Dead at 64. R.I.P. You sure didn't have much peace in your lifetime.

Of course he died too early. A very unhappy man. Gained a tremendous amout of weight. He used to live in Pasadena, CA. during the 70s-80s and ride the bus. If you recognized him and made an attempt to converse, you got stung.
