It needs new strings and a little clean up, the flatwound strings it currently has are ancient, probably just as old as the bass itself.

Sounds like a steal, love a nice Jazz. I've never tried a Special. Is she much different from a standard?

I love those basses. They are so versatile and they just feel good. The neck on those basses are great IMO. My youngest son bought a dark green metallic one a couple of years ago for $275.00 Cdn with the original Fender case. Both 9 out of 10 condition. I thought he got a good deal at the time. You probably did a bit better Wouter.
