So will The Dark Knight be his last movie? Tragic, especially if it's due to drugs...
Yeah, too bad about that movie.

And then there's the small matter of his two year old daughter.

I think they were done shooting the movie so I'd imagine any re-shoots could be handled somehow (much like for Brandon Lee in The Crow).....so the flick should be fine.

I don't wish ill will on anyone (well, maybe just a few people) but when you play with fire I'm not too sympathetic when you get lit up......there are more tragic things going on in the world. That said....RIP.

That's sad! Very sad.

Yeah id agree Brian if someone wants to take sleeping pills even if it was a cry for help they should realise that the people they leave behind scrape up the mess they leave behind.I fully endorse the fact also that people die everyday at work in the world scraping a living to stay alive. If this was a tragic accident with pills what did he think was going to transpire a slap on the wrist and a stomach pump? Maybe a stay at the local Addiction Clinic. On the flip side if he really wanted to commit suicide fine but lets not shed any tears cause there enough badness in the world already. For every bad thing that happens in this world a beautiful one begins.

Man, for a second, I thought you were talking about Jack Nicholson. I'm really looking forward to The Dark Knight this summer and from what I've seen and heard so far; Heath's Joker was was one sick and twisted individual. The movie's in post-production now, so his scenes have already been filmed. What a freakin' waste; now I'm really bummed.

A waste of life! His 2 year old daughter will now grow up fatherless!
The Australian media here are saying he was a very unselfish bloke! Tell that to his little girl!!!
He just needed to catch up on some sleep!....Coroners report may be enlightening!! :(

Umm, just hang on a minute. Lots of speculation going on everywhere. Indeed lets wait for the coroners report before we (like everybody else) jump to any conclusions. It might not be as it looks from this distance.
Perth media are reporting that his parents found out about his death via a news report, which, if true, is in itself a terrible thing. Lets not compound that by endless speculation.

Sorry to get on my soap box but Heath came from here and his family aren't immune to what gets said.

Good point, hard for any of us to know what happened, or what might have been going on inside him. I read he was having major difficulty with the break up.

I only saw two of his movies--The Patriot and Monster's Ball, but I thought he was quite good in both. Tragic in every sense.

Gives one the opportunity to be very thankful for the wonderful very rich lives that we have.... I think we can all safely say that we have a terrific extended family and our lives are all the better for it... I have always said life is to short..sometimes more than others.
