That thing is about a half hour from me.

I feel sorry for it. I sure hope someone got good use out of its poor old parts.

It looks like it's had a brutal existence. Hopefully someone can restore it.

Marc, when I first saw it and the price, I immediately thought of you. You'll need all the parts, but that isn't so hard to accomplish. Good luck with this one.

This picture shows that it is in fact a 4001 as the shedua stripe is visible in the treble pickup cavity. The bass was made after '75 because the neck pickup route does not allow for 1/2" spacing. Also the ends of the truss rods are close together and not the wider spacing found on '75 and earlier basses. Just in case anyone was interested in the age. :)
