A bit confused on what he might be expected to wear after agreeing to join Deep Purple Steve Morse asked if he would have to wear leather. They assured him they were not Judas Priest and told him denim would be fine.

So good name for the two halves of Metal/Hard Rock. Rock on!

It's like when Bruce Dickinson was signing on to Iron Maiden. He didn't want to be leather and spikes like Dianno.

I've been a metalhead for 30+ years now and have never once worn spandex or hairspray. Such a silly stereotype.

"Hair metal" was an unfortunate phenomenon - definitely inferior to metal up to and including NWOBHM...
