Rickenbacker Model 1993 SPC
There are a few photos of a Model 1993 SPC which I received after Christmas 2003. You could say that "visions of Montezuma Brown were dancing in my head."

I'm up for the next batch of this model! I heard something about a mimimum batch of 20 or so special order guitars. I assume colour could be varied within this minimum batch, but a group of us would have to agree on a model and options, and front up to RIC with the money.
Two wrongs don't make a right, but three rights do make a left.
Thanks, Gary, Craig, Mark and John. I am really enjoying this guitar. It is a fine player, sounds terrific and isn't hard on the eyes either!

Fantastic! Looks like the 1999 Fireglo 360/12V64 with F hole that is shown here, except for the color of course.

Kevin: Yes this would certainly be a relative. While the photo you have cited is not completely in focus, and the lighting not great, I don't see any body binding on the instrument to which you refer.
The only other Model 1993 SPC that I have seen is the one on Bjorn Eriksson's site here. I am sure that there are more out there, it is just unclear how many.

There have been 360V64 Rickenbackers spotted with an f-hole as well.

There is another photo and some information on the 1999 360/12V64 F hole on Bjorn's site in the "Models" section which shows the body binding.

Yes, these instruments appear to have the same grain on the body. They may be the same instrument.

Peter, these are photos of the same guitar. There was a long discussion on Voxtalks about it some time ago. If I remember correctly, the 360/12V64 F hole was from Norm's Rare Guitars in California. Then owned by Paul (Vintage String Dist.), Hoboken Vintage Guitars, Pick of the Ricks, and then "Jim" who provided the photo to Bjorn.

Peter, how did you get this guitar made? This model is not available, and the 1993 is my all time dream Rick 12-string. I've tried for years to get one made and they just won't do it, unless 25 are ordered. I haven't been able to get 25 people together to order a batch. I have pretty much given up hope of ever owning one. I cannot afford an original one from the 60's. Was this in a batch of 25 ordered from a dealer? If so, do you know where there are any more of them for sale? Please give info if you can, I have been wanting this model guitar for years now. Your guitar in the MB color is one of the most gorgeous guitars I've ever seen, I am incredibly jealous!
