Jon: Thanks for the sentiment. It is appreciated. :)
Life, as with music, often requires one to let go of the melody and listen to the rhythm

Yeah, there is actually a 3rd Rick, a 4080 doubleneck, spinning above him out of the frame. What can I say, the man has talent.

On topic, My new 4003 AFG should be here today or tomorrow.

That must be a "good feeling" phrase to put in a post.

I like it. I've got one in mind right now - just waiting to check when it may come in from Rickenbacker.
It's been on order for a while and is the last one expected to come in for this dealer. I sure hope it is in the works.
I was trying to decide on AFG or MG. I finally decided on the AFG because it was only available for 2006 even though
the last orders are still trickling in here are there.

Luckily the MG will be available probably as long as Rickenbacker is making guitars. So I can get one of those later.:D

I don't mind the ambered binding.
It's not a Fireglo - it's a Amber Fireglo. I look at it as another entirely different color choice with a different color binding.
Popular with me 8)
...went in to buy a 52' Tele and walked out with a 360 Jetglo...

Robert, that 381 is just spectacular! I recall reading somewhere (it may have been Ben Hall) saying that Eric B. and the boys at the paint shop have really got the AFG dialed in. Your guitar is proof positive of that.

I agree. It looks great. IIRC the binding is the same white binding RIC uses on their other guitars, but the amber tinted clearcoat sprayed over the top of the guitar is what give it that aged look.
