I'm planning on getting the guitar "Arnquisted", but this won't be until about April. The bass side truss nut is loosened to the point where the nut can be threaded right off the rod.
I'm kinda hoping this is one of those situations wher Paul W. or somebody says; "Oh yeah; what you do is this", etc.
The treble side is quite good, and the adjustment seems to be in "The middle" wher it should be. In other words, enough play to go counter, or clockwise, etc, and feels "Right".
Ironically, there isn't much buzz on the A string, but there is a bit of subtle "Phantom buzzing" here and there on all the wound strings.
The low E is good open, and on the 1st fret, but after that, pretty bad.
And as I mentioned, the action is a bit higher than it should be.
I'm wondering if the hex nut needs to be attached to the rod more firmly?
I'm no luthier; a reasonable craftsman, and have always been able to get a reasonable truss adjustment out of most any guitar, including Ricks.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Just put new strings on too.
The E buzz through the amp is most annoying, and obviously unacceptable.
Thanks a bunch, Christian
