A couple tunes
http://www.myspace.com/theshamustwins
The first, "Life Is Strange" is one of Tim's. It's got a nice jangle-twang thing going on, thanks to my 660/12 and strat. Also I tried for a Neil Young type lead solo (strat).
The second "Garden Of Weeds", I''m playing everything but drums. Rick 1997 RI on rhythm, Casino on lead, and 4005 bass. Got a fair amount of growl from the 4005, specially when you consider it's got Pyramid flats and was going through a pod.

Nice clean, tight, work, Jerry. Outstanding actually. Raises the bar for us 'couch players'.
Re: A couple tunes
That's awesome Jerry!
Tight - right on the beat - great sound.

...went in to buy a 52' Tele and walked out with a 360 Jetglo...
Re: A couple tunes
I actually had a second listen to Garden of Weeds.
It really cool with the bass line on the guitar part within the rythym and I really like the ending.
Keep it up.

Jerry: Life may be strange, but your recording is not. A marvellous job. Thanks for taking the time to include this link.
Life, as with music, often requires one to let go of the melody and listen to the rhythm

Cool, Jerry! I guess that's another CD I need to put on my "must order soon" list!

Re: A couple tunes
If you haven't heard the Shamus Twins CD, you really must get it. There are some really great tunes on there! I got one at SoCal this last August, and it gets played on a regular basis.
Re: A couple tunes

Re: A couple tunes
Thanks, all. "Strange" was recorded analog, then moved to pro tool for mixing. "Garden" was pro tools all the way. Now that I've got Garage Band, I can't wait to start some home projects, where time = $$$$$ won't matter!
Re: A couple tunes
fantastic, i like that stuff.... when you come to Germany, gimme a sign
Re: A couple tunes
Cool! The video was cool too, for Turning Blue.
Re: A couple tunes
Nice stuff, Jerry. I dug 'Find The Kind Of Freedom' too.
Re: A couple tunes
Good tunes Jerry - I saw mention of a CD, any of the four in the MySpace on a CD? Are copies available? I guess I like 'cool, intelligent rock'.

Re: A couple tunes
Thanks, Tom. The last two are on our first CD, # 1 and 2 will most likely be on the CD I'm now working on.
The first CD available at CD Baby and Not Lame and a bunch of internet sites of which I'm discovering more and more of everyday! Second CD I'm shooting for release in a couple of months.
