Earlier this evening, I scored a new 2007 330/6 FG made the week of August 6. Kooky, simply kooky. Sometimes circumstances just seem to mesh seamlessly. I wasn't gassing terribly for a new Ric. But I was more than a little curious about fellow forum member Wildgift's acquisition yesterday of a new 330/6 JG. The price intrigued me. Since we both live in Socal, I pm'd him at 5:00 o'clock this afternoon. He was gracious enough to to answer my question about where he purchased his Ric. I called the brick-and-mortar shop. I asked them if the 360/6 FG was available, they obliged by saying the "yes" word, I pointed my compass towards them, and ten minutes later I was on the freeway. I had a 50-minute window to hoof it over there, check out the merch, and decide before they closed.
Okay, the first props go to Wildgift. Thank you ever so much, Peter, for sharing good, hard information. The second props go to Eddy at the shop. I didn't want to talk price with him on the phone. I find it better to speak with the dealer in person if he is local. When I arrived, I had the entire electric guitar section to myself. Eddy and I engaged in laid-back conversation and within twenty minutes, I bought the 360/6 FG. It is clean as a whistle. Finished in a deeper red, almost burgundy, hue around the edge of the body, the transition towards the body's center seems a bit darker with a tinge of amber rather than flat-toned maple. I have it sitting next to my 330/12 AFG right now and the pair strike a cool pose. Perhaps the most stunning part of the guitar is the rosewood fretboard. First of all, it is quite light in color, a tad bit lighter than my 370/6 Burgundyglo, and definitely much lighter than my 330/12 AFG. Secondly, and here's the trippy part, it has the most wonderful grain pattern giving it this marvelous quilted look. It also comes with the smaller headstock. Pics will be uploaded tomorrow. I want to change strings, polish the bod with Zymöl, and apply Dr. Stringfellow's Lem-Oil Conditioner to the fretboard first.
Wow. Tonight was a cool experience. I'll be eating 975 cheeseburgers plus the city and county will get to eat their customary cheeseeburgers, too. Best regards....Goofyfoot.

Congrats Goofyfoot,thats a great story!You guys in SoCal are lucky,The few Ricks that can be found locally are sold for close to list price.I'm looking forward to seeing photos of your new baby.

I've never been so confused. First you say you bought a 330, then a 360, the title of the thread says 330, but the pictures are of a 360. Furthermore, the first batch of pictures looks like a different guitar than the second batch. By the way, the first set of pictures is the best fireglo I have ever seen, the second one not so much. Further complicating matters is the bottle of booze I sucked down at last night's CD release party. Ugh ...
