Petty's Superbowl Rick
Petty played a double-bound FG 330/12 with an F hole during the opening song of the Superbowl halftime show. I have never seen that combination of features before. Is that something RIC made for him?

An import model. a 1993.
Check out the other threads about the performance for info. they assume it's a 64

That was a 1993 (f hole, bound body). There have been a few limited runs of them in addition to the originals. That was definitely a reissue from what I could tell.

Glad you think so as well, Bob. I thought the binding was too white, the fireglo too modern and the bridge too close to the bridge pickup to be an orginal RM. I'm guessing either a late-80's Sam Ash instrument or a more recent custom order. I'd love to be proven wrong though, and know that there's at least one RM1993 left in pristine condition! What a gorgeous instrument.
