This guy's a blasphemer. Jon Camp is an incredible artist with a huge fan base.

It's a guitar, people, not a Picasso. The owner did what he needed to to make it work for him as a tool. Look at it this way: Someone is going to get a good deal on a fixer-upper.

Together with a non-traditional TRC? Come to think of it, wasn't that an "ACME" that he played with the "non-traditional" bridge p/up?

Yes, it is what it is to be done with as one pleases - it's a wood and steel thing made by imperfect machines and imperfect men, that one usually pays disposable money to acquire, and by the waning yens of fleeting fancy, sometimes gets dumped into the trash cans of life.

Does anyone really care if the owner takes a chainsaw to it?

I don't mind the idea of mini humbuckers, but I would only install such a pickup if I didn't have to drill any new holes in the guitar body.

Little Rock, Arkansas, 1 August 1998 in his "Premonition" tour. Smashed his acoustic right after "Have You Ever Seen The rain". Apparently it was giving him trouble so he decided to fix it.

The point being, if it's yours, you can do whatever you like to it and not owe anybody any explanation for it.

The only problem I really see with the first guitar is that the pickups don't go all the way to the pickguard and that doesn't look right, plus it kind of looks like the polepieces don't really match the string spacing.
