Does anyone here own a 360 Double Bound in Monezuma Brown 12 or 6- string?
Any Pictures?

Howdy,

Thanks for the pics. Why Walnut/ Monty Brown isn't a standard color I'll never know; it's stunning on a 360/4001 or 620. Rickenbacker's sunburst finishes seem to really stand out on bound models. Of course, YMMV.

That 1993SPC is THE best looking guitar I've seen. It is art.

How does it play Peter?

I agree that is a stunning Guitar but, only partial shots of the guitar :?

Beautiful!
I have to ask though-
How did you get Rickenbacker to do it?
They seem so fond of telling every one "NO"
when it comes to custom creations.

Peter has done so much to advance the good word about Rickenbackers. If I recall properly, this was not something Peter asked for but was offered. He'd be much too modest to detail his contributions to RIC's good name.

Definitely very cool. Dot markers would have completed the 1993 look.

It reminds me of Townshend's 360S/12. Peter, you're a lucky guy to have something so beautiful!

Would you mind telling us the story of how you got it?

Another stunning guitar, Kevin. You have had more "good lookers" than I can hold in recent memory.

The arrival of 360/12V64 f-hole or 1993SPC in Montezuma Brown is something that I will never forget. John Hall mentioned that he would assist me in selecting a Rickenbacker should I wish to consider it. Of course I more than considered it and could not sleep for many months after it was ordered.

For the record, I paid for this instrument and waited in line like everyone else and it arrived shortly after Christmas 2003. I chose Montezuma Brown as it has an historic place in the history of Rickenbacker finishes. I did not choose fireglo and the cat's eye sound hole as they are more common. The f-hole came through an unexpected find at the Factory. I decided on a hybrid (f-hole/triangle markers) as I felt that it would be more unique as this opportunity does not present itself often.

I also had the very good fortune to have John Hall work on making gold guards for it which are currently on the guitar and are likely to remain. So this instrument is so very special because of John Hall's involvement since the very beginning. I am grateful for all that he has done in providing support for this forum since the very early days and for overseeing the crafting of this instrument from start to finish. I will never forget his email a while before it was shipped "I think you will be pleased."

This guitar plays and sounds beautifully and is played as often as possible. It is not a collector's piece and its chime is indelibly etched into the recesses of my temporal lobes. Again, thank you John Hall. Your kindness will never be forgotten.

I will try to get some updated photos in the near future. Thanks to everyone who has expressed an interest in this Rickenbacker.
Life, as with music, often requires one to let go of the melody and listen to the rhythm
