RI HS baseplate - same as hi-gain?
Does anyone here know for sure if the bakelite-looking baseplate is the same for the the current treble 4003 hi-gain pups as for the V63-era RI HS? I have a HS which has one of the threaded end bits of the baseplate broken off.

They are basically identical except for the addition of two 7/32" holes.
The holes are drilled 13/16" center to center in the middle of the plate for mounting the two shoes.
These are #10 machine screws IIRC. I hope this helps.

Thanks, Steve - yes, that does help quite a lot!

...and so did the older high gains but he didn't ask that.jwr2 wrote:The old horseshoe pickups had aluminum base plates

A lot more aluminum on the older Rics, huh? Baseplates, saddles, bridges, tailpieces....
