U.G.L.Y.

I'm digging the 360VP next to it.

How is this a John Lennon model?
Re: A John Lennon model I never saw
That is probably unit number 1 from the JL limited edition series. Yoko Ono DID have did decorated for Sean, because she wanted the guitar to go to him.
Re: A John Lennon model I never saw
It seems to feature quite ornate mother-of-toiletseat inlays along the neck, headstock and body!

I shoulda asked the guy what the story was with that. They'd probably tell you over the phone.
Interesting store in that most of their stock is in the window. It's next to the famed Chelsea Hotel, whose notable guests included Arthur Miller, Dylan Thomas, and yes, Sid Vicious.

I though that the one Sean got was worked on by Peter Max.

I don't mind MOTO, but a MOTO fretboard seems a bit excessive to me. A dark fretbaord would have been a nice contrast. All that other decal type junk and fret markers are the really annoying part to me-all of the apples and black triangles or whatever all that junk is. Makes it look like it's a nursery school kid's toy.

I saw this particular guitar at the Gibson plant in Nashville in 1990. As far as I recall is was one of a series of "art guitars" Gibson worked on that year. I don't think there's a Yoko/Sean connection.

You should probably lay off the pipe Sean. Tour memory will be clearer that way.phlemmy wrote:I don't remember getting any guitars from Yoko.
