My first Rickenbacker is on it's way!

Post by johnt »

Just ordered my first Rickenbacker, a 330 Fireglo (new). Got it at a steal of a price, I asked if my local guitar shop, would match the price (they wanted £200 more!) and they plain flat out wouldn't believe me!

Been playing for about 12 years or so & currently have a Tele & an acoustic - but have always wanted a Rickenbacker (Johnny Marr/REM/etc fan) and I can't quite believe I have one on it's way, considering the shortages there are (especially in the UK). I though it was best to get one ASAP as it looks like it's just going to get worse for getting hold of new Rickys. The only problem is that my credit card company kept declining the card despite having enough funds, so by the time we sorted that out it is too late to ship it today, so will have to wait until Friday!

So anyway, wanted to say hi and tell some folks about my new guitar, as the girlfriend don't care! Stand by for pictures when she arrives!

Congrats! You must post photos. And tell us all about how she plays, the songs you play on her, ...you know, the usual stuff, right?

Hope your Tele doesn't cry too much. When I went Rickencrazy, my other electrics stopped getting played at all.

I think you'll really enjoy it.

Cool score, John. Props to you and welcome to the canteen. Stick around and you'll find this forum to be an interesting journey of discovery. Play on, play often. Best regards....Goofyfoot.
Play on, pick often, jam with any Rickenbacker, and prosper.
