Serial Number

Post by gschank »

I have a Rick bass that I have owned since the early '70's It was manufactured in Sept. '72, according to the company information. However, there is lettering on the top of the plate. I do not know the meaning of this. Can anyone tell me more about my bass? Serial # LI 915.

Welcome to the forum, Gary.
The first character, "L" is for '72, the second character "I" is for September.
915 was the next number available when your bass was finished.

Post a pic of you bass when you get a chance.
JETGLO should officially be renamed JETGLO ROCKS! :-)

Thanks for the information regarding the serial number. It is a black 4001 with white checkerboard, and in just about mint condition. As soon as I figure out how to reduce the size of the photos, I will submit them. Gary
