Interesting use of the balloon Paul.
Great idea though...
I have never seen that done before.

John,
When my somewhat modified 360 arrives I will happily hoist a PBR of your liking with you.
Paul - Looks like you now have a much more spacious work area for your many endeavors. Congrats. Hope you're getting comfortable in the surroundings.
Best,
Timbo

Alisha, looks like PW has outdone himself yet again as your 700C is gorgeous. I think I know how you must feel as it was just under a year ago when I first saw similar pics of my 730S.
Get well soon!

When I first started doing Rick acoustics back in mid '06, I used quart paint can lids with double-faced tape around the edges...perfect fit.ben_brown wrote:Interesting use of the balloon Paul.

The balloon idea came from John Hall, and it's apparently pretty much an old luthier trick.
I also use Vaseline...large jars of it, dissolved in methylene chloride...as a mold release for casting precision parts.
Which brings to mind a funny story about going through the checkout line at Walgreens with ten packages of balloons and five large jars of Vaseline.
Even in screw-loose San Francisco, CA, this raises eyebrows...

Nope. But I had my high-heeled sneakers, my wig hat on my head, and my Googie sweater.>>>

They've all been exhausted. How about some more project pics, Paul?
