New Wave!

Post by shamustwin »

My one and only attempt, ca. 1984. Just me, drum machine, synths, guitar, my 4005, and voices recorded from radio and records.
Pretty dang obnoxious.

Nice job, Jerry! I wouldn't say obnoxious at all - certainly not within the context of the style. You layered all the sounds very well. It puts me in the mind of Thomas Dolby.

I like this tune. Fun stuff. :D :D Very early-mid 80s I'm getting club flashbacks.

That was a fun trip back to my least favorite moment in rock history.. synth bass -- forty lashes!

Just kidding, I actually liked it, at least, in this one small dose.. but no more; I'm not going back, you can't make me!

Well I absolutely enjoyed that. The prior post cracks me up, but these days I find myself liking New Wave much more than I did back then, when I was flogging 60's music with my solo acoustic act. 8) Very nice intricate work, a million things going on, excellent vocals. Skinny tie? Poofed up hair? Sure...
