My apologies Sheena. I over generalized. You may have meant "negative" in terms of flat out RIC bashing and not general complaints about the instruments.

Indeed, Sir. And no need to apologize. Yours was a good point that put things into place, and it was actually me who was generalizing.
It's the Web, and, without movements and face expressions, words may appear stronger than they were meant to be. Some people think that online discussion means less responsibility (cause written text, especially in such a lightweight "place" as web forum, from the point of a writer isn't serious enough to be taken close) than a face-to-face dialogue; but in fact, it's quite the contrary. It's a kind of art that some of us are still learning to produce.
Nothing will get you dead quicker than being deadly serious about yourself.

Thanks for all the comment here.

With regard to disappearing posts, there are two "garden varieties."

The first is posts that would have been better placed in another category. In this cases the posts are moved to that category. Sometimes posters assume that their posts have been removed when a search for the topic will reveal otherwise.

The second type involves posts that are of a more negative nature. These range from complaints about how RIC should run their company or questions or comments regarding customer service issues. My view is that such comments are better placed on the RIC Forum as only that forum can provide you with the official Rickenbacker policy.

So if you are bothered by a loose nut, a missing screw or the wait time for a new RIckenbacker, the RIC forum is for you. Posts that pit one forum member against another and lead to personal conflict can be expected to have a short shelf life on the RickResource Forum.

I do not apologize for maintaining a pro Rickenbacker Forum. There are plenty of places on the Internet for people to air their complaints ad infinitum. This is not one of them.

I hope this makes the reasons for some disappearing posts clear.

Bravo Peter. I for one like the way you moderate this forum... I have had a thread or two move on me (no big deal, I just search for it) - don't think I've ever been clipped. But If I was I figure it would be for a good reason. Thank You for all you do!

When it comes to moving a topic, I will do my level best to leave a shadow topic for a period of time so that it may be easier to find.
