Not my stuff, and not a Rickenbacker, but definitely deserves note:

Tony – welcome to the forum – the tube stuff sounds good – wish I had better fidelity here on the good ‘ole ‘puter.

Erik – the release gig is a little geographical undesirable for me but break a leg! Like what I heard on the Tube.

Mark that dude was really cool – but I can’t help but imagine how much better it would have sounded on a Ric….

Most of the tunes I've posted previously have been from completed albums, but this one I just finished mixing tonight. This is the tune I was recording when my guitar strap gave out and my '68 4001 went crashing to the floor. Woops. Hard evidence that Ricks take a licking and keep on rocking. (Man! I should get PAID to write copy like that!)

Enyhu - the song:

Sostenuto

Featuring the '68 4001 on the main bassline, and the '79 4001V63 on the distorted parts.

If the player acts a little sticky, click the "back" button a couple of times.

This is live recording without overdubs. Not as good sound as Geddy's but I'm working on it...

From the "Brittown" movie soundtrack. Sorry the guitar's not a Ricky. It's my Gretsch Silverjet. I did all of the studio guitar parts on my Gretsch. My fellow guitarist Jayme joined the band after this was recorded. The full length of the song was cut/edited for this movie trailer:

Mark, awesome! I really like that song. Got it on loop for a while. Great '68 tone - proggy in a Mike Rutherford tone way.

Thanks, John. The recording was definitely an involved project. The tremolo bass part was from a previous demo recording, and for some reason I thought it would be easier to transfer it to the new recording instead of re-record it. ????? It was kind of a pain in the ***, but I'm glad I did it in the long run because it was a nice take worth keeping.

For more info on the bass tracking, I also posted 'Sostenuto' on the 'Rickenbacker Recordings By RRF Members' thread.
