Acoustic RICS ......
Is it close to impossible to find an acoustic RIC ?
I never see one.

Re: Acoustic RICS ......
I think the phrase is they're "rare as hen's teeth", whatever that means.
Re: Acoustic RICS ......
They do exist, but are indeed rare:
Our fellow Forumite, Paul W., is making acoustics under license from Rickenbacker. You can search the threads for info about them.

That is SWEET, Gary. Thanks for posting a picture.
Is the sound of a Rick Acoustic unique? I really like the look of that one.
Does that one have the maple back and sides (hard to tell because of the reflection)?

...went in to buy a 52' Tele and walked out with a 360 Jetglo...

The L (Laramie) has maple sides and back. Here are some more pictures. this time taken in sunlight:
The maple gives it a nice bright sound. The neck feels and plays like an electric. The fingerboard is plain wood, not clear-coated like most other Ricks.
Come to SoCalCon '08 and you 'll be able to play it!

Re: Acoustic RICS ......
So i was going to ask if Rick accoustics were worth investing in. I guess they are if they are so rare. Are they rare becasue there isn't many around or becasue when someone has one they don't let it go?
Re: Acoustic RICS ......
yes it is worth the money they sound great and they are hard to come by with no production in plain sight and it is the only ric with scale 25.4. i love it. my 12 became my no 1 acoustic.

Yes IMHO they are worth every penny, if you're a Rick nut and want a quality acoustic guitar that plays and sounds great.
