Mike Smith - Dave Clark Five

Sadly heard on radio a few hours ago Mike Smith of Dave Clark Five has passed away.

The group were due to be inducted into the R&R Hall of fame in two weeks.

In some ways it is a release Mike was left virtually totally paralysed as a result of an accident 3/4 years ago.

There has been numerous accusations and counter accusations on some websites about funds being misappropriated.

One website which was run as a magazine initially and was well respected by DC5 fans closed as a result of issues with Mike's wife allegedly.

However that aside I thought he had a great voice and here are the group at their best

Very sad news! I'm bummed! A big catalyst for the British Invasion, IMHO. The R&R HOF tribute is long overdue and has been quite unfair all these past years.
