It look like that 4004 FG is a Laredo as the hardware is chrome.

That 4004L in Fireglo sure is purty, thanks for the pics Gary and Dennis!

I've never been to a NAMM. Do they let you play the instruments?

I'm fairly new to this site...does anyone know if there have been any of the 4004/5 delivered to customers? I was wondering if the only ones in existance go to the NAMM shows each year?

Gene, you're welcome!

Rick, I saw some instruments being played at other booths, but I don't know whether Kenny and the crew at the RIC booth let just anybody pick up and play any of the Rickenbackers present.

Dennis, maybe Kenny can fill us in on whether the 4004/5 orders are being filled. He did tell me that the 760 Jazz-bo on display there was the only one in existence.

Thanks Gary,

I own a 4004CI and a 4003/5 DG...I think it'd be great to have one of the 4004/5's someday. I have yet to actually see one of the translucent colors up close...then again, after seeing the laredo in FG...maybe someday they'll make those into 5-stringers?!?...OK now I'm grasping!

I asked JH whether any had been shipped. His answer was "yes".

Unfortunately the NAMM shots don't show up in any of my browsers on the Mac. Image

Jeff, if you're computer-savy, let me know what might be wrong and I'll try to fix it. I can also send you the JPEGs directly, if you'd like. Let me know!

One thing I regret is not meeting Jwilli the day I was at NAMM. I should have posted a picture of myself, that way I might have been recognized:

Now we'll see how many Forumers get this joke...

Thanks to Terry Oblander for explaining clearly and concisely the HTML problem (backslash vs. forward slash issue)! The pictures should now show up in the pages when viewed on an Apple/Mac.

Robert, we'll wait to see if anyone else gets it.

Gary, I regret not meeting you there too, or John Barnes. Maybe next year! I bet that pic has something to do with Dr. Who!

PS: My NAMM '04 pics can be seen here:
