Update: The regular 6 tuners require sanding and filing in order to fit the ferrules in. I've got one done and started the second. Hopefully I can finish all five remaining tonight after the gig. Then tomorrow it's electronics day and I should be done.

She's turning into a beauty but you gotta do something about that overspray in the soundhole.

Thanks! There is a ton of buildup from previous finish attempts prior to my ownership. I'm going to try getting some maple veneer to put in there.

I wonnder if it'd be possible to swab the inside with something to remove the paint?

Niiiiccce, Jdog!

With regard to the "swabbie's" comment, this is not possible; even if you could dissolve the paint at this late date, it would stain the maple grain.

There are two ways at this point (nearly finished): abrasive removal with a small-diameter disc and a Foredom (risky and will leave marks) or maple veneer. I'd use the veneer in this case.

Next time, if there's paint inside the sound hole, determine how much and pick your sanding grit accordingly. Just be sure you finish with #320.
