I know, on this track he's playing his 72 Fender Jazz Bass with the 2007 neck......
It's from the new live CD due out on April 8. Recorded in Rotterdam last year.

Sounds good, Geddy does sort of get a rick-like crunch out of that j-bass. It will be interesting to compare the j-bass sound to his old rick that he plays on Bangkok when this becomes available for purchase in April. (Cranked up loud in the house to hear the nuances, of course). I have fourth row tickets in front of Geddy for Jacksonville in April too, they haven't played here in over ten years.

The first time I heard this, I thought the exact same thing. His sound has come around nearly full circle from 20-25 years ago.
