Steve, my Breedlove came with a Baggs iBeam pickup already installed. I plugged it in and played it through my PA, and it sounds fantastic. I am overwhelmed!

Great to hear you love the Breedlove, Melissa! :D Are you considering having it restrung like a Rick?

Hmmmm.... I hadn't thought of that, although it did feel really weird to tune a "conventional" 12-string after playing Ric 12's for so many years! But I think for now I'll keep it just the way it is! It's an amazing guitar.

Yes leave it. What you want is differentiation! Conventional string arrangement makes for a different instrument than a standard Ric. In fact, you could justify owning two Ric 12s, one reverse strung. Hmmmm ....

Here's a pic that Marc took this evening.... unfortunately our camera takes really ****** indoor pictures. It's a great night to play my new guitar in front of the fire, as it seems to be unseasonably cold for March... Gonna go play some more! :D

I know that chick - she sings like an angel ! The guitar looks comfy and the fire looks cozy. So glad you are enjoying it, Steve.

Thanks, guys! :D

Out of sheer habit I told my husband, "It's a great night to be Rickin' by the fire!" And he replied, "Rickin'? Don't you mean Breedin'?"

Har!

I guess I'd better watch what I say now!

That would take putting the guitar down long enough to... oh never mind!

Beautiful instrument, Melibee.
