Confused Regarding COY BlueBurst 2006?

Dusty, no, there is no certificate or any document (other than the warranty registration card that you get) that indicates the special COY color. The fixed time period of the COY is strictly for ordering - this was roughly from the NAMM show in Jan/Feb to a week or so before Christmas when the factory closes for holiday break. With all the orders in, RIC would finish the instruments as they came along in production cycles. It seems the more popular instruments (330, 360, 4003) get out first, while the less popular wait their turn. I've had a 4004Cii in Blueburst on order for 27 months. It's been some time since RIC has made a substantial batch of 4004 basses (judging by RIC's website shipping information), but one day it will come!
