4004: Shipping again!

Seems that 4004s are back in the production pipeline again, finally!

Small in quantity, but high in quality! One Laredo and two CIIs on the shipped list at Rickenbacker.com.

Ray, as a guy who got suckered in to thinking it was true as well (see link), I regret to inform you that the 4004's that shipped were the NAMM models.

Not a big fan of pickguardless Rics, but I have to admit, that 4004 looks great in Mapleglo.

And a Mapleglo Laredo must be as rare as hen's teeth! I remember when this one was first revealed, and so far, I think it is the only one I've seen!

And white Laredos are very rare too, there could be one appearing on the forum any day now .....

I really wish they'd make these with 60's Jazz Bass (or 4002) pickup spacing.

All I can say is they are perhaps one of the best kept secrets in all of Ric-dom.

Yup, it was my old green boy Laredo conversion with 3 + 2 cloverleaf tuners drilled Gilbert style with VVT controls.
