4003 live tone
I know that nobody cares but me, but my band just played a show this evening & I used my brand new Montezuma Brown 4003 live for only the 2nd time.
Everybody raved about the tone.
Thank you John Hall & Rickenbacker Inc. for manufacturing perfection.

I care
I called a dealer today here in the UK as I'm about to get a new 4003 and he's got a couple of Montezuma Brown 4003's on order.....said I could have one but I might have to wait 6 months as he placed the order in November.
I'm really tempted to wait, but on the other hand I could pick up a Jetglo or Fireglo straight away....arrrgh!...decisions, decisions.
Glad you got yours and it's catching peoples ears as well as their eyes, I can imagine.

I just ordered my Montezuma Brown 4003FL last week. Not expecting delivery for quite some time. Marty, not sure where you are in the UK, but the Bass Cellar in London has a couple 4003's including a nice cream colored 4003FL. Way expensive though. The shop is selling them for twice what you pay in the states.
Rick, I'm in London.
Havn't had the chance to go up the West End to have a look around, but had a look at some online dealers and what you say about the prices seems to be the same with all dealers in the UK...you can hardly find a 4003 for much less than £1000.....some are going for over £1200 in some stores, which is a little over $2000....like you say ,twice for what they go for in the States.
Do you mind me asking ,where did you order yours from?
Cheers
Marty.

I have an old Fender BXR 400 head that I run through an Eminence 15" cab. Sometimes I pull out my 4x10 & bi-amp, but it can be a little too much for my bandmates.(You know how whiny singers can be!)
Last night I was miked with a D-112 & also ran direct with my XLR out.
House of god sound at the club, IMHO.
How's that Mesa/Sunn combo working for you ...it looks sweet.
LOVE that 4005 too.

Hey, Jeffrey, that's a super fine 12 string Rick you got there. Don't worry about it not being a bass - FWIW, that guitar shape (610/620/660) IS my all-time favorite! I don't need to tell you what my favorite bass guitar shape is...
A Rickenbacker bass is much like the Jaguar E car - perennially ultra-fashionable.

'03 4004Cii before it's alteration, no pics yet but there will be when I can.
'02 660/12, I know it's not a bass, but it is a Rickenbacker!
