I absolutely love this guitar. The only change I would make if I was ordering this guitar would be a clear pickguard. I love all of that blue real estate.

So, Bob, I guess you're missing the Cub Scout connection? :D :D :D

I think this is what we were shooting for:

It's since been changed because the old lyrics were deemed sexist, considering the large number of women serving in the USAF since VietNam.

Simply brilliant, Curmudge.
Life, as with music, often requires one to let go of the melody and listen to the rhythm

I think my heart finally stopped when I saw that headstock shot with the TRC. It was already in arrest from the rest of the pics.

WOWZERS!

Strung it up today and finishing the setup...This thing sounds HUGE. As you can well imagine, handbuilt acoustic guitars are inclined to have individual personalities: any combination of organic substances, conceived as a musical device by inspired but imperfect human minds, tweaked and assembled by all-too-fallible human hands, can be sublime and sweet or bold and big. Sometimes it's much more toward one end of the spectrum, at the expense of narrow range.

I sincerely hope that Alisha takes this instrument to many a confluence, so those who know and love Rick acoustics can try it. It's got a big voice yet it's not lacking in fine detail, either. I usually string a new acoustic with Martin Extra Lights (.010-.047 set) to kind of "break in" the neck and body and begin to stress the bridge. Later, heavier strings sometimes go on in an effort to strengthen voice and improve projection. I am trying to imagine what this will sound like with an .012 set, in a year or so.

Perhaps, after Alisha receives this guitar (it's crying for a name, Alisha!), she can also post an mp3 or two so you can understand my enthusiasm.

Now, into its case and we wait for the pickup and Gold Schaller strap lock set to arrive on Tuesday.

I'm officially very happy that you're happy, Alisha. Now, please regain your gift of gab.

It goes home tonight with me.

So, I guess Alisha won't be getting a virgin guitar, huh?

Paul, is there some significance to the proximity of a fire extinguisher to the guitar in those pics?
