I also have a '66 335 in Fireglo -- but it's not as nice as yours! What a great looking guitar. They are great players - perhaps sleepers in the Rick world? There's one in VG magazine right now listed for $4995! I think a lot were made in '66, although nobody seems to really know the numbers. That's the kind of guitar you keep forever. Congrats!!!

What an incredible find John, congratulations, that is a magnificent looking Ric !!!!

Just goes to show those mint condition vintage guitars are still out there.

John, what a great find! Your '66 335 is in first class shape. I have a '66 335 also, however mine has an unusual (but original) pale fireglo. It may not be a head turner like yours, but it plays spectacularly well, consistent with my colleagues' earlier comments regarding this model and era. :D

Congratulations John...Don't let this one go!
....and take good care of it. That guitar has been placed in your hands for a reason, and the thought of taking something that for all practical purposes is 42 year NOS and not treating it that way makes my teeth itch. Of course it's your guitar and should be used....just not abused.

That guitar speaks volumes about what fireglo finishes looked like when they were sprayed in the '60s. I've been up close and personal with a 2002 360/12 and 2003 330/12 recently and that finish resembles them very closely.
