Oy vey! Are we sure this didn't come from that idiot from Manowar's collection?!
Re: What is WRONG with people?! - Part Trois
Yeah, that would be me. The pad is still on the bass, it really is not as bad as it seems and does keep the back from getting the dreaded stinkfoot, er, I mean, buckle rash.jakeox wrote:Someone else got a heck of a deal on a '73 with a leather diaper (that was a lot less pokey) around that time too, I think -- Jeffrey Scott, maybe?

Yep, and all that great birds eye everywhere on the body.

This is how it looked when I bought it, before correcting some minor issues like the pickguard, PG screws and knobs.

Seller does say that the studded codpiece
is a hunka leather with all those thingies fastened onto it, and that it is detachable. Looks like snaps hold it on (look at the one right below the neck heel...you can see the half that's screwed into the body...)This means, maybe only four or five holes to fill. Bridge pickup--can't really tell what the butchery might be there...New bridge...maybe fill another half-dozen holes total. This one could be a bargain for a '72...

Peter...don't give away my plans...
Personally, I bet this guy has a high reserve. I already bid over 1k and didn't hit it.

The neck looks warped or something to me in a couple of those pics.

Yep, it was on a Craigslist, IIRC.brianeharmonjr wrote:I remember seeing this before ...
