$48 million, about 3% of his net wealth. Not that she deserves anything, but for McCartney it's not a huge loss. Certainly not Heather's rendition of, I Want to Hold Your Checkbook.

I would imagine Paul is ****** but relieved.

If I were in his shoes, I'd be willing to pay more just to make her go away.

She was complaining about the amount of child support she'll get. What, she won't spend any of the 50 mil on her daughter?

This woman is truly a nutty gold digger. First she wants $250 mil, but Paul offers her $30 mil to settle out of court.

Now she has the NERVE to go on TV and urge other women to settle out of court if at all possible, but that in this situation Paul FORCED her to "drag her daughter" through a court proceeding. Huh ??? $30 mil wasn't enough to keep her and her daughter warm and cozy at night?

Well, good for you Stumpy. You got your extra $18 mil over and above what Paul would have given you anyway.

I guess the best we can all hope for is that Heather will simply GO AWAY.

I still think that every Beatles fan should have mailed her $1 as a way to say thanks to Paul. If I'd have had $50 million, I'd have given it to her just to shut her up.

AND she has taken steps to assure the court documents never become public, as some embarrassing things about her came out during the whole hulabaloo.

...or from Blondie's "Just Go Away"....

You got a big mouth and I'm happy to see
Your foot is firmly entrenched where a molar should be
If you talk much louder you could get an award
From the federal communications board

Don't go pre-fab
Cause you been had
Don't go be sad
Don't go away mad
Just go away (go away)

Unfortunately for her - she failed in that respect. For those of you who may be interested enough to want to read the full 58-page judgement of the case that Heather Mills was so keen not to be made public then go to…

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/entertainment/7302736.stm

…and locate the “Judgement in full” PDF downloadable file link – mind you it’s somewhat heavy reading. However, the BBC does attempt to explain the bones of the settlement in layman’s terms together with highlighting some of the Judge’s written remarks about both parties.

So much for Mucca's "charitable" efforts. What a loon.

This is nice summary (and comparsion of Macca vs. Mucca):

http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/ne ... 932648.ece

She likes the limelight, so it may be a bit before it goes away alas. I think media attention (cameras, reporters, etc.) can get addictive to some. She's now batting 0 for 3 with the most important men in her life (father and now two ex-husbands).
