Been waiting since Christmas. I'm the guy who waited for UPS to deliver his 360JG, but when I opened the case, it was a 330JG. They didn't have any more 360s, so this is brand new stock.

Tuesday is now an awfully long time to wait for such a revelation. I need a pleasant surprise - I've been in a rut lately. Now I'm afraid this thread may turn what might be a pleasant surprise into a disappointment :( On the other hand, if they are not full width, I'll keep re-reading that other thread to convince myself that my guitar is more structurally sound :) OK, enough of the wild mood swings ... 'till tuesday.

Full-width, and no longer poured resin, but a solid, CNC-cut sheet material, for a perfect fit into a CNC-cut recess. To keep strength up, the recess is not as deep as the old full-width recesses were. These should be bulletproof, strong, and very stable through decades of use. Lovely.

I don't think anyone has commented, yet, as to whether this is now the standard for new 360s shipped from RIC.

I'm guessing that with all of the testing and devlopment that went into this, as evidenced by Paul's post, that we have seen the last of the partial-width inlay.

I'm pretty sure all RIC stock is new stock, unless one of the dealers manages to hide a guitar in its warehouse. I've been to the RIC factory, and there are no piles of inventory lying around. As soon as the guitars are built, they're boxed up and shipped.

I'll let you all know tomorrow. The most promising aspect of all of this is - all the ones that have shown with the new inlays are the 360JG, which is what I am getting. Considering that I ordered it pre-price-hike, with rebate, this could turn into a helluva good deal for me. Of course, by saying this, I have just jinxed myself, but if it sounds as great as I expect, it won't matter. :)

I just saw one of the new 360/6's with the full inlays at my local dealer and they look freakin' amazing. They are a pure white almost and they make the neck look awesome. Absolutely one of the best changes that could have been made.

Does anyone have a nice close-up picture of the new inlays?
