Saw them about five years ago. Whilst I enjoyed them, especially the drumming, I have not been inspired to go and see them again.

Been awhile for me Jim...last time I saw them was at the Shrine in Los Angeles. On the same bill was Ten Years After and The Jeff Beck Group w/Rod Stewert..$4! I'll post a review

I've only seen them twice, both within the last 10 years. But it is pretty amazing that they are still out touring. Even more amazing is that they were still hitting their harmonies.

Think about it - Ray Thomas was in the first incarnaton of the band which had the hit Go Now. When wwas that? 1964? And he just retired. Damn awesome!!!

One heck of a show last night...John and Graeme seemed to be having the time of their lives and Justin's guitar work/singing was inspired and full of passion. The percussionist was spot on and a joy to watch..the flautist who also played guitar, harmonica and sang was amazing...It was great to see this group hitting all those killer harmonies. To say that the group was well reheresed would be a gross understatement..but also..the whole ensemble really were having a great time. The magic was there..plus the band rocked as hard as any I've seen(Slide Zone kicked ***).. It's all about the performance..and it's about the material and I can't think of any finer crafted songs then these. The venue here in town is a medium sized auditorium...we had great seats..center stage 10th row. If they play near you..go!

They are in tow here Friday. I want to see them but mainly to hear one song...Blue World. Is it still in their current setlist?

Some of you may know but Justin Hayward got his big break courtesy of Marty Wilde a British singer who was hugely popular in late 50' and early 60's in UK.

Hayward recorded 2/3 singles with Marty Wilde and his wife calling themselves The Wilde Three circa 64, the hits had dried up for Marty with the beat boom.

None of the singles were successful.

Marty Wilde has continued to perform to this day and about 12 month ago sold out the London Palladium(an excellent DVD was released).

A number of guest Artists turned up Hank Marvin, Jet Harris, Kim Wilde(Marty's Daughter) and Justin Hayward flew in just to perform Nights In White Satin with Marty.

In Interview he said he has never forgotten that it was Marty who gave him a break, nice touch.

Wow, we just watched the show last night. I have to agree with what George said, except our seats were like 60 or 70 rows back on the floor.
John's bass was a jazz but I was AMAZED at how light his touch was and how that thing boomed.

The musicianship was unsurpassed.

A great night WITH THE EXCEPTION of the crowd.

I'll be posting a VENT thread somewhere!

Now, onto YES! The same place..the sound system was amazing, I can't wait!
