New Fender Wannabe Rickenbacker Cases?

I have a brown tolex G&G case for my '60 Strat Reissue. It's a gorgeous case.

it IS a Ric trademark for the vintage RIs.

I don't think it literally is a Ric "trademark". It's hard to trademark something that is purchased from a third party (G&G has supplied MANY guitar manufactureres with cases the last 60 years...Fender, Ric, Mosrite,G&L just to name a few..) They were making silver cases for Fender Duosonics (and later Mustangs) long before Ric was using them. But yeah...it's definitely Ric's "style trademark" in the non-literal sense.

Just for kicks, here's a "Ric style" case that I made a couple years ago. I was working at a Flight case company out in Santa Ana, and I made this one to gig with (so my Ric cases wouldn't get mangled..):

Yep, saw that one a few hours ago. 9 days to go though, and I've got another guitar in my sights right now. We'll see how that goes.
