Tuners on 325C58

Post by Rick325man »

Does anyone know where one can obtain replacement tuners like those found on the 325C58? The other related question is if there are any significant issues to consider when trying to install these on a 1983 Model 320. I am considering 'Lennonizing' my 1983 320, which has currently has the original small Grover tuners on it. Thanks for your help!

It seems that RIC does not offer these for sale. You can find a super hi quality version of them here: http://www.stewmac.com/shop/Tuners/Guit ... uners.html

Thanks. I suppose some holes may need to be drilled to they fit properly .... has anyone out there installed these on an early 80's 320 or similar Rick?

Sorry for my typo above .... what I meant to say was - I suppose additional holes may need to be drilled for them to fit properly ... has anyone tried to install these on an early 80's 320?

The Grovers that are on many early '80s are Rotomatics. When I refitted my own '81 320 with the vintage ones, I used Grover Sta-Tites, nickel-plated. from StewMac at $35.50 currently a set. Waverlies of this configuration are merely copied from the cheaper Grovers, which are quite nice anyway.

You will have to plug some holes and drill new ones.
