My first was a August '74 4001 MG. I traded it in on a September '98 4001V63 MG back in October 1998! I miss that old '74 one, but I'm still lovin' the V63!

I ordered a 330/6 FG, and wound up with a 340/6 VP FG that was supposedly NOS at another branch. Who knows if that was really true, but for 14 years I haven't been disappointed in the slightest :D

Here's an equally proud former owner back in 1968...

One day I would love to hold that bass in my hands for only a few minutes. I love the early Bee Gees stuff.

My 4001S Jetglo (my avatar). It was a 1982 build bought new in 1984. Still have it, and I'll never sell it.

My '04 4003MG bought new in Feb. '05 for an early self-birthday present.

1964 325 FG with F-hole

Note: When I got it in 1979, it had the finish stripped, was routed for Gibson humbuckers, had an aftermarket bridge and stop tailpiece, Grover tuners, a homemade single level pickguard, and a raised letter TRC. The only original hardware left was the jackplate, the strap buttons, possibly a few of the pots, and a moldy silver case covered with brown contact paper. Yipes!

'79 4001JG. Bought at Jacks In Red Bank, NJ for $750 in 1997 (complete with a late-70s fitted case). It's beat up and missing the mute block and had an 80s TRC slapped on at some point, but it's the best-sounding one I've ever owned.

Around the same time, a store nearby had a '60 4000 for $1000 even, but I didn't like the way it looked, so I passed it by. This ranks among the stupidest decisions I've ever made...

A Midnight Blue 360/12 with black trim started me down the Rickenbacker path.

My first Ric was an early '73 refinished in midnight blue. I bought it in about '90. My 1st new Ric was a '91 4003 MG. I no longer have either.
