4001C64S Shape

Is it me, or do the horns on the 4001C64S look fatter than on the original?

This isn't so noticeable in the pics on the RIC web site, but the examples in other pics I've seen sure look a little overweight, as did the "real live" one at NAMM.

This model has the replicated hacked-up Macca sanding job which changes the upper horn shape. Could this account for what you're seeing?

Quite the opposite, actually. It looks to me like it isn't shaved quite enough. The bass horn looks too thick, and not flat enough on the lower edge.

It looks...slightly "swollen," if you will...
