Rock and Roll Stars - Real Names

Post by winston »

This may prove to be a bit of fun.

We all know that Richard Starkey is our one and only Ringo Starr, but if I was use the name Vincent Damon Furnier in an article about a well known artist who would I be talking about?

The answer to this one is none other than Alice Cooper.

If you wish to join in, here's another name to start this ball rolling: David Howell Evans

The answer is: The Edge (of U2 fame for those of us who have lived in a cave since the mid 1970's)

OK one more.

Saul Hudson

The answer is: Slash of Guns N' Roses fame.

While he wasn't a Rock and Roll star, Baldemar Huerta did have a #1 hit on both Billboard's Pop and Country charts.
... changed his name from Baldemar Huerta to Freddy Fender. He took Fender from an amplifier, and 'Freddy' because the alliteration sounded good to him and it would,"...sell better with Gringos!"

Are we supposed to supply the answers?

In order: Joe Strummer, Sid Vicious, Jah Wobble and Jello Biafra.
