My first Rick was a 620/6 that I happened upon in a pawn shop next to the place I work. A couple months on layaway and it was all mine. 8)

My first Ric is a '64 RM1997. I inherited it. Talk about a fire being lit....It's kind of like the burning bush-a flame that seems to burn within itself and never goes out!

I have pics, but I think they are to big to post.....

My 1994 Rickenbacker 4003 bass... in jetglo, just like Geddy's. I still have it, still love it. I have four 4003's - '94, '99, '00, '03. The '94 has the thinnest neck and the hottest pickups. Too hot, in fact - it makes the clip light come on on my wireless unit for most notes on the E and A strings. The '00 mapleglo is the one I've done the most recording with.

Nice! Can I join your family? That sounds like a good inheritance to me!

My first RIC was a Mapleglo 370/12 RM with compressor. I bought it used in 1993 for $1300 (near mint). At that time, I had no idea of the history or significance of this model. I simply thought it was cool that McGuinn's signature was on the pickguard(I always admired his guitar playing). I wouldn't part with this guitar for anything!

My first was an '05 4003 I bought in 2006. Hated the neck and sold it.
