I got an email back today that they have sent out a new one. Don't even need to return the original.

I did put a set of Grover Rotomatic locking tuners on. No need to drill out the peg holes. The anchor screws on the underside are in a different position but I'm not too worried about cosmetics. I'll fill and touch up when I have a chance.

So now that I have this great Bigsby B7 on my Dot the lid won't close on the case! Does anyone make a case with more interior room to accommodate a vibrato or do I have to relieve string tension to get it to lay flatter?

I am using a standard Epi Dot case and it works fine, I just turn the handle toward the back.

Did you try rotating the Bigsby handle to about the 5:00 position (viewed with the guitar headstock-up, Bigsby-down)? Or anywhere from about 5:00 to about 8:00...

Charlie, I posted without reading your reply in its entirety...you hit him on the head and I gave him the time of day.

Ouch, my head hurts but at least I know the time of day. :? Thanks for your responses... I do have the arm around to the 8 o'clock position. I'm not quite that dim (although my wife may beg to differ).

I bought this Dot used and have pretty much decided it's not the original case. The interior of the case is only about 2 3/4 inches deep and I now see the control knobs have been digging into the lid. Must be a case for a solid body.

Time to buy a new case. I had this on my short list anyway because the handle is already partially busted.

Thanks again for your suggestions. I'm still planning to post a few pics when I get around to digging the camera out. The 3 Ricks are hoping to get their pics in the registry, too. (All 3 just love having their pictures taken!)

Well, I have decided to change pups from the GFS Fat PAT(paf).

I will be getting a SD 59 neck pup and a SD Phat Cat (P90) for the bridge.

The neck pup I have is ok, but I am not happy with the bridge pup. The GFS fat pat is a bit like the Pearly Gates, and it has a bit too much crunch for me.
