fretted/fretless switch

Post by nattiep »

I could swear this was posted in the past but still.. looks like the patent has ran out on this idea, so anyone can do it now. So.. uh.. Dane.. get a 4004 with a big neck and give it a go.

(I still have no idea how to embed vids on this forum.)

That looks like a cool idea! of course I had the very same idea years ago, but his system is much more elegant than mine was, and doesn't necessitate pliers and a hammer every time! haha.

Nate, to embed, as you are posting, on the right of the tag choices there is one marked youtube. Click that and put just the video number (the letter-number combo that is unique to the video you want to show.

Everyone, embedding the link (showing the video in your post) does slow down the forum server so be aware of this.

Actually embedding doesn't affect the server at all.
It simply makes the loading time a tad longer as your browser needs to download both the page content and the embedded video, but as far as the server is concerned there is no extra action.
So long and thanks for all the fish!

All I know is if I view the video on the thread page, it is very slow and stutters terribly. If I double-click and view it on the YouTube page, it downloads a whole lot faster and views fine. I just figured it was the forum server slowing the negotiation and download. Hmmmm.
