Wow – absolutely gorgeous, Paul! Don’t think I’ve ever seen the progression of that beauty before

Paul, I think that you made the right choice. I've seen it in pics and in person. And played it. A guitar such as this begs for tradition. Not to say that it wouldn't look fabulous in a Blueburst of some sort. Or a deep Fire-Glo. Or a nice Autumn-Glo. Or any other color. The Natural approach is only the beginning......

But now the case interior and guitar color clash in a major way ! I don't know one woman who would be able to stand that !!

Oh well shoot...if she's that unhappy with it, I'd be glad to step up and do the gallant thing and dispose of it properly (hehehe)

I suppose the green lining of RIC acoustic cases was chosen to look good with FG, JG, and MG (The three colors these were typically offered in.) Customers of mine who opt for the high-zoot Ameritage cases have a dizzying choice of case colors, binding colors, and interior plush styles and colors.

Well, Alisha posted a thread about receiving the above guitar, and I was out with a bad flu (despite flu shot) for over 4 weeks...so things moved back a bit. I have four more jumbo acoustic bodies ready for finishing, but meanwhile there are six or seven projects that needed minor finish touchups, parts, etc., which I'm attacking one by one.

This 4000S has been hanging around awhile, waiting for this 'n' that, but I finished it this week and it's now trucking its way back out to Tennessee to its excited owner. It's had a refinish, refret, and new TRC and guard in soft gold.

...now I have a matched pair of BB 700s (yep, the same ones I mentioned earlier) whose varnishes are hardening, and which will be shipped out next week. This weekend I've got a pair of LSs on the bench--one DOA, and one needing some minor tweaks.

Then, some other projects, which I will show one by one...and with each completion, Mr. Simer's projects move ever closer to the booth.

Very nice Paul! One question though - how do you come by the gold TRC since RIC won't swap a white or black TRC for a gold one?

RIC and I do favors back and forth. The agreement is that these are for my restoration projects only.

Paul, thats the prettiest 4000 in existence. Period. Dot. Exclamation point.
Well, exchange those knobs for some black ones......they don't go well with the gold guards,IMHO.

Beautiful Paul... and I applaud your agreement with Rickenbacker concerning your restoration projects.
