Good question! Somebody's been keeping tabs on Shadow sales, but there's tons of variance. Mine was on the cheaper side, but it also has some cosmetic issues and changed pickups. Great condition Shadows have been going well over 3k for a while, I think, but they come up so rarely it's hard to say.

I really don't get how Shadows cost the same or less than CSs, when 50 were made as opposed to 1000.

I think its in the demand side of the equation. True there are less Shadows. But Yes and Chris Squire have a lot of fans. A lot of bass players want to be like Chris!

The Shadow is a cool bass, but it doesn't have a guy like Chris Squire that made it famous to spur the demand.

That's very true, but nearly all black vs. kinda banana-glo is no contest for me. The CS does have the toaster/horseshoe combo, of course, too. And you do see a weirdly low number of CS basses up for sale despite the relatively large number produced.

so, was there a guy taking serial numbers for shadows?

maybe, (I know that this is a big request) we could get the pricing from that list?

If there is no pricing, everyone check in! (yah, I know, that aint happenin'!)

so , what would be the benefit, besides setting the market......

Hey, there is only 50 of 'em, right ?.......

Maybe a search for the other 25 of them that are missing? (they have about 25 on that found list?)

Just some thoughts from a newbie, thats all....
