Nice to see that there was a bit of Aussie involvement, too!
Thanks Aitch and Darren! It's a great guitar, and it couldn't have happened without Glen's help for sure.

Oh come on, tell him the truth! Its a POS and it probably stinks to high heaven. Its the dumbest guitar ever built. Only a sissy would like it.

That being said, how much do you want for it Leftybass? :P
Your luthier did a great job on it.

Here's a new pic of the guitar with the 50's Rickenbacker metal knobs installed.....the "V80" look.

What a fantastic result. Love that old Two-Tone Brown "V80" look. It's a pleasure to have played a small part in this project.

Many thanks to you, Glen. Getting it to this point has been very rewarding for me, and much of what you have learned about 325s has gone into this guitar.

So, do you think that the 325 pics you posted are both the same guitar..? My gut tells me yes, and that this guitar is probably V80...

Just wondered what you thought...Cheers mate. :D

I've always suspected it's the same guitar with just the knobs changed. Although it would be nice to think there are a couple of solidtop Two-Tone's out there

Wow. That is probably the prettiest guitar I've seen. I too have a taste for those early 325 Capri's. Gorgeous. The Two-Tone Brown is perfect. I like too how you went for the authentic look. I just bought a c58 (been looking for 5 months) and will be getting to tomorrow. Totally stock - I like the idea of it being that way. Being a pickup maker, I will have a hard time not hand re-winding the pickups. I know they are machine wound in all Ric guitars. I can't imagine they were machine wound in '58. I need to do some more research on that. Anyway, kudos...brilliant effort, well worth the result. Worthy of being hung on the wall.

Thanks again for the comments everyone.

Owen, I think it's great you are getting a C58. Unwinding the pickups a bit is something I may do with mine at some point; there are some late 50's Ricks near me that I can use to compare, and I know they have a bit more output that the C58s do from the factory, at least the ears seem to hear it that way....
