Losing a Friend and Bandmate

Post by Scastles »

A 40 year old friend and bandmate of mine has been diagnosed with terminal lung cancer. Dan was the soul of our little group, a man of many hats and has been a dear friend since high school. Words can't say how sorely he will be missed. Many things will never be the same. He's pictured in the middle, along with my other playing partner, myself and Steve Earle.

Stan,

I am so sorry to hear that. My heart and prayers go out to you and his family and friends.

Remember the good times, man, and share as many as you can in whatever amount of time you have left.

Hi Stan,

A lousy deal for both of you. Good thoughts, stength and peace in your future.

Stan, I wish I had something orignal to say. But all I can think of at the moment is to echo the sentiments that have been previously expressed. It's hard losing good frineds. My thoughts are with you and all your mutual friends.

Thanks for the kind words. He'll be with us a year most likely, maybe longer. The best part, he is taking it real well.
