Ebay searches for Rics Problem?

Anyone else encountering problems with their auto searches for Rics? I keep several saved searches going on the 'bay, but lately it seems my Ric search just lists misc electric guitar ****--I still get the deail email, but nothing RIc is included. Only search this happens with, before I go through the frustration of dealing with Ebay, thought I'd see if anyone else was having a similar problem.

I got it too, I sent them the following snotty email...

What have you done to the search feature. It is dreadful now. When I search using keywords I get literally hundreds of items that have nothing to do with what I am searching for. They don't even have the keywords that I searched for in the titles. I'm not impressed.


And I got this reply from Ebay...

Thank you for your feedback about the updated eBay.co.uk search. We're
sorry to hear you don't like the changes we've made.

I understand your predicament, however, please allow me to inform that
we wanted to let you know wherein we'll be testing changes to search
results pages in the next few weeks. Please note that in addition to the
technical reasons below, we are running this test because a similar test
in October gave extremely positive results. We intend to validate this
earlier test and then extend the features to more users if the results
are still positive.

You may try to opt out of the new search result page by clearing the
cache and cookies of your browser. Once you've cleared your cache and
cookies, close all open browser windows and open a new browser window.
You should see the original search and be able to use it as normal.

I have 'opted out' of the 'test' and all is back as it was.

Thanks Peter--think I will do the same. I figured something was screwed up on their end when I tried searching a guitar on their site, and all I could do was search "right handed"...

Thats nice, clean protocol. Run a second test with the intention of validating an earlier one.
