HAPPY BIRTHDAY, JULIAN!

Post by jingle_jangle »

I just realized that John's son will be 45 on Tuesday April 8th...my God!

I feel sad and frustrated at the treatment that he, Cynthia, Aunt Mimi, and John's half-sister, Julia Baird, all got at the hand of Yoko. I suspect that Julian's done well for himself, but to get cheated out of a father's inheritance after being denied his presence is a double-whammy of the worst kind.

So, let's wish him a happy 45th birthday...Julian, your father would have been proud!

45?? Geez, hard to believe. Where did the time go? (But I often ask myself that on Monday, when I think it's the weekend).

Julian has survived,in spite of the cards he was dealt. Good for him.

Amazing.

Yup, Yoko is a witch. John has been spinning in his grave for the last 27 years over the antics of that whore.

I often think how differently things would be if the internet existed in 1980.
Perhaps John would have made his feelings and wishes better known to Julian. It is sometimes easier to express oneself in writing, and email and IM are so much more convenient than snail mail or even a phone call (though not as personal). Specially, I would imagine, for strained relationships.

Lennon's diaries would in effect, not be in the hands of Yoko, but in the hard drives of the people he loved.

The recipient also would have a record of professions of love, promises, what have you. Wasn't Julian promised his father's Rick?

May Pang, bless her, would probably have another book out containing Lennon's emails to her!

A "whore?" Jeeze. As a kid who grew up in a highly wealthy town in the highly dysfunctional 1970s, I witnessed a lot of deep-pocket divorces, at least one that lasted a decade, with remarriages to follow. Rock stars or not, and Yoko or not, it was no different when people checked out if they didn't have it taken care of prior. And I've heard people ***** about this kind of stuff when there was a lot less money involved. And, er, Aunt Mimi? I believe there are accounts of her being about as cold as an icicle to everyone she met. If such was the case, and I'm not assuming it is, she may well have been to her daughter-in law, and if her son didn't cut her into the will well enough, whose fault is it? By all accounts she was an old, retired lady who was not bad off with her own assets, and had a house her son bought her years before. Also, if Lennon was a 40-year old man who spent a grand total of two visits with his first son during his last ten years, and he didn't do right by him, or any of the people he'd promised to, in writing, in his will, where's the blame lie? The ex? Now, if that hasn't gotten your ire up enough, living a few blocks from the Dakota the past half decade, I've been fortunate enough to have met people who've been around the area for long, long time. Some met J&Y back in the day, some worked for both Yoko and Macca, and others knew/have known John/Yoko and Yoko since the 60s. Some have mind blowing rock resumes. Believe it or not, they have nothing bad to say about her. And none were on her payroll more than a few weeks. At least two who go way back with her confirmed that she said recently what Lennon said in '80, that a lot of people treated her like dirt back in the day. But not everyone. Some were and still are close to her, and she hasn't forgotten it. Others may regret things they did or said years ago. She probably would rather have had John survive her. But it didn't work out that way, and civil wars bring out the worst in everyone, not just the ex.

OK, OK, if Yoko wants to spend a week with somebody on this Forum, I nominate you, Glenn...

If you spend a week with John's half sister, deal. Yoko's probably got better stories. And hey, Yoko worked with RIC to to make possible a JL Limited Edition. So far, she's the only one in the Beatles camp to do so.

Yoko can thank her lucky stars for you know who, whose 15 minutes of fame in a perfect would would have ended years ago. As if you needed another reason to loathe reality TV. Caption from a photo this weekend (wow, she arrived at Miss USA!):

In this photo provided by the Las Vegas News Bureau, Joey Fatone and Heather Mills arrives at the 2008 Miss USA Pageant, Friday April 11, 2008, at The Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino in Las Vegas. (AP Photo/Las Vegas News Bureau, Brian Jones)

Pardon my absolute ignorance...but why is Yoko a bad person?

Serious question...I don't recall reading what she's done.

Did she deny some sort of inheritance that John had promised to Julian?

Maybe I missed a story somewhere. As far as estates go, most of ours go to our spouses when we die...and when the spouse dies, it then goes to the next generation. Unless other arrangements are specified. Were other arrangements specified by John?

Depends on who's book you read!

I believe all of Yoko's (and previously John's) money is to go to her daughter Kyoko's children.

Oh, now I get it. I thought this was still just more of the old She Broke Up the Beatles and She's Weird and Japanese thing.

Well, we sure do hear a lot of things, don't we? But we don't hear it from her, and we don't see the will.

I heard she was giving it all to Heather Mills. :P

If one had a will that said that all of his assets go only to his second family, he was to blame. If the will was otherwise, it can't be changed. If someone was wrongfully deprived, they could sue. If the first was the case, the executor could always do as they pleased with the assets, including give them to family members after the fact.

We may never know JL's intentions, and we need never care.
